I really enjoyed the food in New York..
Is like everything is so cheesy & potato-sy..
Those 2 are my staple food lo..luv it man~~~

I thought Cathay food wasnt that bad..
Got western, got chinese, got ice creeam & blah..
I just love the breadz..
Very tasty!!!!!!!!!

No time to blog about New York Food & the exhibition i did yet..
Busy mugging on bridging exams which will fall on 3rd and 4th June...
So scared i will not do well..
No doubt i only need 34 to pass but still..

There's another thing that made me damn worried..
My right lower abodomen keep hurting..
Not very major in pain but abit abit lo..
I so scared is appendicitis..
I dun want to do op..
Sighz..got to go check up.

If it is appendicitis, pls only activate after my exams..-_-
If not, i will waste the bridging $ and have to an additional year for my degree.
Ok..dat's sux..

The last thing that I am worried..
Or i should say annoyed..
I asked my friend to get my stuff back from the ass..
As I was telling my friend what are the stuff and 1 of it is my book on "men are from mars, women from venus"..
He mentioned that he saw that ass reading in camp and claimed that is his...
Omg..his?come on..return my 17buck then!

Got him to sent me home today.

Gross but it implies i was really deep in sleep in peace..

4. Brooklyn Bridge

I never thought I will have the chance to get to walk on the famous 125 year-old Brooklyn bridge..
So glad to have Mark Laiosa, a radio dj aka guidebook writer to bring around..
It's really nice of him..

Know him from my exhibition which he came in as "press"..
It's pretty dangerous to go out with stranger i barely know but..
Who cares?

It's Regina's adventure!

I was scared though...

There was a light drizzle when I reached brooklyn city hall substation..
Was abit sian-ed..
But so glad it din turn out to be a big downpour...
^_^

The views from brooklyn bridge is beautiful~~
You will see skyscrapers, new york city & the other 2 bridges - washington bridge & manhattan bridge..
You will also get to see a super mini-sized liberty of statue..lol~~

I was so excited to see it okay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mark was like telling me, "See that thing holding a lighted bulb high up in the sky?"
I jumped in joy when i see it..
Looked small but i know is the statue of liberty!!!!!!!
At least i got to see the mini-sized one..
The real huge one..will have to take a boat ride to get there..so ma fan & time consuming~~~

Woolworth Building

Woolworth standing at 57-storeys tall is one of the top 20 tallest building in New York City..
Its beauty come from its architecture..the building was engraved with 4 different design on each side of the building..
Heard from Mark that the building went for a repair & strict security check since the 911 attack..
How's sad.

Thought it was pretty late so headed back halfway the bridge..

Saw this on my way back to the substation..

New York City hall is the oldest city hall in United states..
It still houses governmental functions & as mayor's office..=)

6. Miscellaneous

I carry statue of liberty in my palm ok!
(Saw this near the convention centre)

Interesting way of parking cars..

Saw an accident. No one hurt & both react very calmly...

Beside all these, i can to go to Soho, Chinatown, little italy, Madison Square avenue, Fashion Avenue
Soho & Fashion ave is good for shopping..
In Fashion ave, you will get to shop in the famous Macy departmental store..
Chinatown got NOTHING.
Little italy all food - pasta & pizza.. -_-

But I think New york is a pretty nice country.
People over there is friendly..though some are "over-friendly"..
They can just ask "hey.how are u doing" on the street..
The cashier will cheer u up if u show a gloomy face..
They will offer u help if they see u r carrying heavy stuff..
Apart of that, nyc is very dog-frenly..
Dogs can go shopping with owners!hahahah!

OF coz the weather is very cooling..
But sometime it got to cold & windy..
So windy that it spoilt 2 of my umbrellas..

Walkin on nyc street is very easy..
Their transportation is convenient & easy..
Just hop into subway and u can get to anywhere..
But to get to their substation..there's need a lot of walking..
cold & walk so much = need more food..

That why my nx entry will b featuring on NYC food!

Back Back Back from New York!
Dun hv jet lag this time round...
Took like 600 odd pix..
But mostly for my ICFF thingie...

Well..
I gonna split up the pix into tourist attraction part 1 & 2, food & ICFF.

1. Empire State Building

New York New York!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beautiful concrete views i can say.
Superduper strong wind that freeze my hand.
Even pigeon was struggling to fly lo! I saw the pigeon figeting its wings to balance itself when the wind blew..
lol~~~

SEE! All block n block n block of building~~~

Sort of waste USD19 to go up to see buildings lo -_-"
But it's a good experience..
Getting freeze. tink below 10 degree up there lo.

2. Central Park

Probably the only greeny area u will see.
Me & Carrie went for a short walk on Sunday morning.
Since it is the only park in New York..it was filled up with joggers & dog lovers...
Bascially, u can see all diff breeds in there lo~~~

Very refreshing place.

Feel so tv-show at time.

I like this breed of dog!

She just so adorable~
She was so tiny n went running ard..^_^

Finally saw my lake. hahaha!
But it was fenced up. how's sad.

It really make me feel light-hearted after spending awhile in the cooling central park...
It's very diff from new york city whereby everyone walked quickly~~
Felt so relaxed. =)

It will be great if i can pinic over there.

3. Museum of Sex

So fast 3rd day liao..
Got busy with exhibiton stuff again~~

Carried a really really heavy stuff w my luggage to the convention hall..
Took subway and obstruct the whole passage way coz it was so heavy..
That i carried it down the stairs step by step..

Many kind souls offered help.
Dunno is really wan help or coz we obstructing the way.
But at the subway...passenger will just go into another tram n informed the rest that the express service tram is here..

Not only that..
They are generous w praises..
Many ppl come to my site and commented our set up is beautiful~~~ ^_^

Anyway..
Mcdonald in new york sux!
The hashbrown taste better in singapore.

i am so happy abt smth..
I am done with set up of the exhibition!!!!
my colleague kp saying cannot finish..so i do fast fast with Tobias coz we want go shopping!
But my colleague very workaholic n very serious..

But she suggested tml go central park n have brkfast!

Got busy with exhibition stuff.

20hours of flight.
Swollen butt.
Aching neck & back.
Heng the food on Cathay is still not so badz.

Finally I reached NEW YORK at 10pm on 13th May (Spore - 10am, 14th May)
I feel so shiok when I stepped out of the airport!

It's so cooling~~~~!!!!!!!! ^_^

I have not take a good look of the whole New York yet since it is night time here.
Can only see lights.
Will have a better view tml morning!

Self Reflection

# SELF REFLECTION

I have been in the REAL world for a long time..
The endless route lay infront of me is still a mystery..
Behind me, is the route I have walked that cannot be changed..

It has been a difficult & tiring walk.
Looking back at it, it is a walk that are filled with many regrets.
That route seems to filled up with dirt and many sharp stones & broken glasses..
Sometime I did stepped on it and start to bleed.
Sometime just a scratch but sometime it got a deep cut that leave a scar..
Occasionally u will see a sweet smelling flower that will bring a smile to me..

My happiness seem not to last for a long time..
When I am sad, I look forward for happiness..
When I am happy, I hope the smile can last as long as possible..

When I was a child, I want to grow up fast.
Now I all grown up, I hope I can go back to my fatty bom bom time.
At least then i am carefree from problems, only facing issue of being overweight & "dun fren u"matter.
Growing up make problems surface too. Money problem & relationship problem especially.
Many time tis problems create hindrance to friendship & kinship..
As u grow up, life might seem depressing at time..

In life, we made choices..
I have made many wrong choices..
But I cant change my choice..

What can I do?
Turn back time and re-walk my route?
Will i still step on broken glasses and bleed again?

Well..
I can just sit and pray for the next best thing to happen..
Nobody want sad thing to happen..
No one want to be hurt..

I just want to be happy.
Issit that hard?

I just want to have a job with good prospect & pay.
I just want to have a close and happy family.
I just want good friends around me to have fun together with.
I just want a good man to love me, have a family and live happily ever after like any princess from the "long time ago" story.

I may be a self claimed kura princess.
But i dun have the luxury of a princess.

One day I might just die like that.
I want to live my life at the fullest.
I want to stay in my "la-la" world.
Finally, I hope to die with a smile on my face.

My 1st Prawning

Never fish in my life.
Never do I prawn in my life.

But I do eat prawns & luv them to the core.

Tried prawning for the first time over my 22 years living on this earth.
Went to Westlake Fishing Village at Taman Jurong.
The rate is alright. $13 per hour. $26 for 2hours + 1 Free hour.

Went with Mr. K..
(Oh no..how come my blog gt him all over the plc!)

Was quite sad at the start.
No luck No catch. =(

Cant even be bothered to take any pix.
I let him prawn..i just sit and watch people catch prawns -_-
Ordered food to eat. food is bad.

I took over and stoned. Several time almost catch but haiz..
So depressing...

Everything is so depressing till Mr Francis, the property agent save the day!
He taught us how to prawn since both of us are noob.
He even changed the hook for us.

We tried.
And soon enough..
We got 1..then 2...then 3!!!!!!

Then was dead.
Heng we caught 2 more b4 the time was up.

Had a fun bbq session with Mr K and Francis + group.
They caught alot of prawns.
Compared to our 5 miserable prawns.haiz.
But the prawns were good ^_^

Shall try again next time!!!
I want to catch & not see & bbq & eat only next time!

Was already so excited about the concert like days before the concert..
Yeah-ing for no reason & singing their songs..
Few days b4 the concert I oledi liddat..
Can imagine my 兴奋-ness on the actual day!!!!!!!!!!!!
ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!

超HIGH!!!!!!!
Imagine I stood for like 3hours at the concert, argh-ing with the gurls beside me over 怪兽,building my right arm muscle by swaying the blue lightstick~
Now I can go for arm wrestling le..
Sure win liao..lol!

Anyway, the concert damn GOOD!!!!!!!!
Mayday definitely rox the whole indoor stadium!!!
Majority was already on their feet..jump here jump there on the 3rd song~~~!!!!
It seems like our energy level is always at the peak no matter how much we screamed and jumped!
I think Mayday purposely made us shout "L.O.V.E" like million time to make us tired la!!!!
But think our energy level touched them..they seemed to be teary with reddish nose..

The whole concert lasted for like around 3 hours..
It started off abit like NDP with uniformed human beings dropping down to the audience area w the rope..

Mayday really thoughtful lo. =)
Made a stage to get to the other end of the stadium so that people at the back can get to see them at closer view...
Singing many songs and keep running around the audience using the 360degree stage surrounding the audiences to get close with the audience..

And I so in love with their 耍帅moment..
Rock people are ego ppl & like to show fanciful stunt with their "baobei"-musical instrument..
But still damn shuai~~~~~~

So happy to be their fan!
They are indeed my No.1 天团!
It is the only concert that I will get my voicebox damaged and get my energy drained..
So tired after the concert with my tummy rumbling, begging for food..lol

After our hearty supper, went to play pool & i lost miserably again..
But I got a great lol session with them + Shawn..
i bet they had fun laughing at me also lah!
I sux in pool lahz! roar~~!!!!

Fun!Happy!
But I drop dead when i reached home..
All the jumping,singing,lol-ing, playing & eating really drained me dry..

Is amazing to be able to hang out with someone that used to be closely related to..
Never have I thought I will have such chance to dine and hold a proper conversation with him in person..
And I am glad to have such a chance..^_^

Now both of us have our own life, own obstacles, own relationship to deal with..

But I am really glad to be able to be his frenz & hold a no-barrier conversation..
I believe not many ex-couple can do thatz..

So meaningful~~~!!!!!
Words could not be used to explain the joy in my heart..
Felt really wonderful =)

On 20th April, a lazy sunday..
I, together with Mr. K went to help out in this SAFRA trekking event at Labrador Park..
The trek was for the people from MINDS & Jamiyah home..

Was feeling quite lost from the start as I had no idea what ought to be done..
I try my best to interact with other volunteers in 1 way or another..
Luckily i got Mr. K with me..if not i sure damn sianz..

We joined the walk trail with the group under Esmund & people from MINDS..
Mr. K was assigned to be in charge of photographyz..
So i was left alone wandering to pair up with someone..
I approached 1 of the guy from MINDS and he was very enthu..
He grabbed my arm excitedly..
Gave me a shock of my life la!ahahaha!

Really passionate..
But they are really good people..

The walk was hot but educative..
We did bark rubbing on the tree with our partner..
To us it might be nothing special and some boring thingie..
But to them..it can be something really fun..

Well, i learnt alot about plants too..^_^
Wat dragon tongue tree, c-almond tree..blah blah..

They do thing from the heart..
No bad intention that you will encounter in the real society..

Not only that, some of them got job..
I am really happy to see that!

I know there are people out there look down on them..
But i felt they are very useful and they made up of a perfect person..
Really felt that they deserve respect and a chance to prove they can do thing like anyone of us~~ =)

Was really scared as I am afraid to know my hair's conditionz..

Did a scanning & was super traumatized..
Hid my sadness & fear behind my lame-ness & laughter..
But actual fact, I am super upsetz..

Consultant Vivian: Your hair will get lesser & lesser. Your hair pores are clogged up with oil. All your hairs are wide apart. Very bad hair state.

Celebrated PY & Grace's bdae.
Met them & the rest of the gurls for dinner at Shokudo..

We waited for like an hour to get a seat..
YES!An Hour..I am not kidding..
But bo bian..our group quite big..

Heard alot of good reviews about Shokudo a.k.a Japanese Marche..
Gave it a try and find the food ALRIGHT nia..

These are the food which I find it not bad..

Egg roll + Bacon Cheese

Grilled Scallop, Prawn Bacon & Beef

Japanese Curry + Katsu

Tempura Sushi + Sashimi --> Fear Factor!

Japanese Ice Kachang + Green Tea Ice cream

Of course there are more but dun feel like putting up those pix..

I bet we were the noisiest group at Shokudo!!!
We laughed & talked & cam-whored like nobody biz..
The bfs who joined us were quite pitiful..
Always have to help us in the cam-whore session..

I only remember I was damn happy whenever there was food talk and we would be given food to taste..

Comment: Gigantic portion!!! Like the pie while it is hot. The beef is tender and I like the sauce in it. I dun mind to dip bread in it and just eat is plainly! However, maybe the portion is too much and greasy. Or maybe it dun taste dat great after it turn cold. As for the mash, I think it is too "hard". Got to flatten it and add sauce to optimize the taste. But not a WOW thing.

Well..
I still prefer the mash at New Habour Cafe..
It'c cheaper yet nicer =)

After which, we headed for some dessert..
Just 2 doors away from Monster Mash, there's this ice cream shop called Cold Rock.

We struggled quite a long time for the flavour..
Finally we chose Honeycomb +........erm.....cannot remember...hahaha!
And chose our filling for the ice cream =)

They got this really interesting way of mixing the ice cream with the fillings..

The way they mixed ma chiam frying carrot cake lo!!!
But I was quite traumatized by the "GENEROSITY" on the amount of fillings they gave..
Imagine $1 for 1 Ferraro Rocher..-_-
Quite pissed off la..

Guess how much is this?
Very not worth it $14...!!!
Still traumatized..think next time i bring my own gummy bear/ferraro rocher n mix myself..

Not only that..
Their service is really BAD.
All of them are as cold as ice cream lo. Expression-less. Or I should say "Icy black face"..

Finally...
I am doing something meaningful to clear my sin!!!

Went down NUH to be an Adult Befriender.
Some of u muz be asking..
how come the sudden urge within Regina to do volunteer work?

Well..
I was there to visit my mama some time in Jan while she was in the hospital..
And for the few hours I was there, I can tell the hospital is very short handed.
The nurses seem to be unable to handle so many patients at a time..
Hence, I thought I should try to helpz..=)

Being an Adult Befriender..
I thought it is quite scary yet something very enriching to life..
Scary part is that I have to do all tis on my own!!!
There is no guide to go with me at all..

Hey. No doubt Regina can be EXTREMELY chatty at "many" times..
But I will also got nervous...

It was pretty tough from the startz..
Tried to make some eye contact to find m TARGET..
hahaha..not that bad after all..
Chatted with 5 patients & had interactive yet unusual encounter with them..

I thought it was fun some how..
Though sometime can be quite depressing..
But..
From my conversation with them, I must say I respect their positive attitude toward their health prob..
Can tell some are worried, feel bad, depressed over their health problem but they still chat with me w a wide smile..
Is not easy though..
And I helpless too..is like i dunno wat i should say to make them feel better..
Can only be their listening ear..

Kudos to them..

I really hope I will be more experience after a few more sessions & be able to bring joy to them..

Saw $$$ in one of my bag's secret compartment.
Was so thrilled.
In the heart was thinking finally i got more than $50 for entertainment this month!!!

Reality:

I opened my black bag..
And saw the paper wallet that Rudith gave it to me as bdae gift.
And guess what?

I found $4!!!!!!!
LOL~~~!!!

Yes. I am broke la.
I really really really left 50buck for this month's entertainment expenses la!

Yes. I super overspent!
Bought 1 bag, 1 watch and 3 tops.
So Extravagant! Around 200 for all!

Dream 2.

Venue: Classroom

I was sitting for a biz paper exam.
Infront of me, there is this guy sitted infront of me sitting for IT paper.
His backview looked familar.

He and this group of guys were busying copying.
He turned and I saw his face.
Is HIM.

Stunned.
Looked at the bunch of them busy copying.
Suddenly, the tester just snatched my paper and tear off my 1st page!
And she juz chucked it smwhr!

Double stunned.

She did the same to HIM and the rest.
She nagged us for copying.

I got panicked and complained,"teacher!I nv copy!I do biz one, not IT...how to copy them!"

The tester thought awhile and say,"Oh ya hoh.."
Then she panicked and find my paper..

I stepped back and sat down.
And turned my head to the left.

My colleague just got engaged last dec...
For others, there seem to be plan for wedding bells soon..

Of coz I am happy for them & very excited..

When many families were celebrating cny by house visiting..
My family went to Malaysia for a short EATING trip..

The 1st day of cny was boring..
Brought my mama to watch CJ7..
Normally cny i would have gone back to Penang but this time round, we could not celebrate as we are still mourning for the death of my 2 grandmamas..

Thus, I was so glad to go for the trip..
At least it put my mind off from unhappiness & boredom..

Usually, I do not believe in chinese zodiac reading..
But i believe this time round..
For "OX" they were saying there will be lot of family bonding..
Indeed..the 2nd day of cny..we went for a family trip..
So true!!!

Oh well..
We woke up early to drive into malaysia..
Once we reached jb 1st highway pitstop..we stopped for breakfast at 9..
Then continued till we reached Melaka at around 11plus..

I dun feel like eating but my mama love durian so she insisted of eating it...

Woke up early to get ourselves ready for a brand new day!!!!!!

Breakfast at the villa..
Sian..why no buffet~~~

But got fantastic scenery for photo-taking..

After our breakfast..
We went to take a look at cottage industry again..
(my god..so boring!)

I was complaining then liao..damn irritated lo..
Waste my time!

Feeling alittle pissed and so not interested..
I juz barged into one coffee cafe for some good cheesecake n kopi..

The pets of the cafe owner made my day better..
Had lot of fun with the pets..

Her name is NEINEI..

And his name is Bluetooth..& he seriously need a grooming man..

We had fun playing with them till it's time to go..

Went to have lunch at some roadside kopitiam..

And needed the ppl in charge to pull me down from the collison..

So in the end I got to go with a guide..=(
They scared i kill the ATV...=(

I was last among all..scared like hell eventhough i gt a personal guide behind me..
His name is Bond..he quite lame 1..but frenly la..

Quite romantic though and he is caring..^_^

One of our rider met a little accident..
Grace must be thinking the weather abit hot so went down the pond for a dip!

Grace was saving her birkenstock by throwing it to land while she fell into the water..LOL!

In the end have to get some macho men to pull up her ATV!

While they are doing the job..

Luckily the ATV still can work if not got to compensate alot..
Along the way..there were more accidents..
Poor Syafiq lost a slipper and hurt his feet..

As for me..
I was riding smoothly..

Happy Happy Happy!
I just back from Chiangmai not long ago..

The trip was short but still fun..
Thnx to my company for organising this oversea trip..
A very good bonding session..
All of us had fun~~~~!!!

However, I thought alot of time wasting on massage & visiting cottage industries..
I am not those kind who enjoy massage & looking at celadon, silk, jewellery..
Too commercial to me..
Personally, I prefer shopping, searching for good food, cultural visit, scenery sightseeing & fun rides..
Heng..I still get to have a fun ride..
If not, I really sian 1/2 lo..

But was still sad that I could not go see my long necked tribe..
Sob~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!

FLASHBACK.............

At 3.30am..
Lazy me got to wake up and travel to the budget terminal..
Got to check in at 5am..
*yawnz*

Had some food & drink b4 boarding..
Yea..budget airplane does not have any food served lo..
Anyway, my intention is to sleep in the plane..

While going thru the custom, the custom officer asked me funny question early in the morning...

Officer: You going for holiday?

Me: ya..(man..not go holiday then wat la..?auntie..u din sleep enough issit?)

Me: Of coz got holiday la..then you think I air stewardess ar?
(LOL!my god..i actually said that to the police officer!)

Office: (Chuckled)no la..i thought u r one of the staff in the airport..

Me: Ok...-_-

I was 100% wearing casually with my ugly spec and mesy hair lo...
And was carrying my baby pillow then..
How on earth I look like i going to work?

In the plane...

I was fully prepared for a 3hours sleep in the plane..
but who noes...
We were surrounded by weird people..
Always eating monks & chatterbox aunties..

My god!
The chatterbox aunties damn power lo..
Kept talking non stop as if they are competing in talking marathon lo..
They din stopped even when I told them to lower down their volume..
How pissed lo~~~

Even when the plane touched down..
Even at the custom counter in Chiangmai..
they were still talking...

Toh Gong Sia!

I was in charge in finding good food to eat..
but being lazy..i din..
Coz to me...good food is to be explored during the trip not b4 the trip!!!!
All my colleagues were like "why u din find yet..how?"

So..
At the custom counter...

Me: Excuse me, may I know if there is any good food near the airport?

Handsome: Here don't have. Near your hotel got.

Handsome: Thai food has no season..u can eat anytime.

Me: .....ooooh...ok..(wtf?)

How come i met so many weird people???

The van which suppose to pick us up had met an accident so we got to wait some time for another van to pick us..
As I was curious about the weather condition in Chiangmai..
I went out of the airport to experience the cooling weather..
Indeed, Chiangmai is cooling!!!!so exciting!!!

Just when I got enough of the cool-ness..i want to go back..
Then..
I saw this Chiangmai army man with a gun infront of the entrance & point to the other door..
I followed his instruction and saw a long queue w lot of baggage waiting to go into the airport.
Cultural shock.

I panicked in a calm way.
"No..i am not going back in by queuing man.."I thought.
Then, I saw a few colleagues coming out like me to breeze in air..
ARGH!!!!!all din come out with luggages!!!!
I quickly called my colleague and warned them! LOL!

Not long after the panic..the van came & drove us to the villa..

Greeted by the friendly receptionist and hotel personnels..
And we served with lemongrass drink..So soothing =)

Both of us were "Wow-ing" when we saw our villa..
hehehhee..

We went touring of villas of our other colleagues..

When everyone got settled down..we went for lunch@ Khoo-Mao Khao-Fang Restaurant..
Lunch was bad.

But the scenery over there is good.
Even the toilet is good..

After our unsatisfied yet very full meal..
We visited some cottage industries such as jewellery, laquerware, Celadon, Silk, Silverware..
Boring but educative..

After the Celadon stop...Went to some silk industry..
Best industry i guess among all the cottage industries we went..

Then once the silk worm is dead..
They cooked them in a pot of water and take out the silk thread by thread..
Like cooking noodle liddat..

Scary place. All aunties.hahaha.

We self divided ourselves into groups..

Listened to the story of Malikka's 9 months project..
Wow..she was amazing okay..
She went for her A level examination with a 7-mth old tummy ok..
A daughter will be a future scholar sia!!!hahahaa!=)

Malikka told us it was painful to give birth but it was a relieve to her too...
She felt she had accomplished her mission when she felt the head coming out..

For those who have no idea about pregnancy..
The doctor will inject hormones into our bodies to induce more contraction to push the baby out..
This mean more cramps more pain!!!
Malikka described the pain as 10 times more painful than our menstrual cramp/tummyache!!!!!!!
Gosh!dat's painful!!!

Not only that..
Our cervix will expand to welcome the delivery..
But it will not expand enough for the baby to come out..
Hence, the doctor will have to cut our flesh down there to widen it..
After the whole thing, they will sew it back..

My god..
Dun u think our mothers are so noble?
Going through all the pain to bring us to the earth..
So appreciate ur mama and ur future wife ok..=)

Kudos to Malikka lo..
She was strong..
Studying & taking care of herself during the pregnancy & going through all the pain..
In india, the husband is not allowed in the room to see through the delivery..
Which mean she was alone..bringing her daughter to earth..
She said the tv drama had over exaggerated the whole delivery process, just cooperate with the doctor & be professional..
And everything will be fine..

From Malikka's stories & expressions, it seems proud to be a mother, to bring her child to the earth...
I cannot imagine myself in that stage..
But it sound so amazing!!!
I want to give birth too!!!!
Well, I would want my husband to be with me in the delivery room lo..
Telling me lame jokes & encourage me throughout..

A piece of advice from Malikka...

Eat well during pregnancy to ensure a healthy baby..
Never diet or stingy over the food you eat if not, the baby's health will suffer in the future..

Got xiao long bao also but as fantastic as DTF lah..

As usual, the canoeist planned to meet at 11..
In the end we only managed to gather everyone at around 12plus..
Seem like the culture is passed on..LOL.

It's great to see each other, sit down & dine together..
The feeling is very nice & cosy..
I do not have to talk much coz they will always entertain me with their interesting conversation..

The exit pass is to ensure this particular person is cleared from any criminal offence..
She got it but her daughter din get it & the custom did not allow her daughter to leave India..
Hence, her poor daughter has to be left in India with her dad..

what can a 2 1/2yrs old baby girl offend?
These people abit no brain sia..-_-"

I think the ambience was not bad. A very quiet place. Definitely a good getaway from a the busy noisy orchard road.

2) Price
Reasonable.

3) Taste
Not that fantastic. The broth for miso ramen was too thick. Dun really like it. But for the char siew broth still not bad.

The char siew is good. The egg..hmm..not that fantastic leh. Taste artificial. Weird Weird one. The ramen..hmm..dun really fancy it. But it has no msg. So still consider healthy. The portion was huge too. Almost explode!hahahaa!

Had our press conference in the morning..
Whereby the Press will get to know about the red dot design concept competition like the overview of the competition..
At the same time, some of the winners were around..
These in turn, allow interaction between the winners and the press to take place..

What's a sucky day.

I lost my handphone and IC at vivo city.
Was shopping then.
Was calm but damn sian.
High possibility that it is stolen.

Usually tucked into the side pocket of my bag which is attached w a magnetic button.
i will clip back the button after putting in my hp.
However, when i want to check my hp..then i realised it was gone but the button still closed.

How can it be dropped?
If dropped..i will hear a loud sound mahz..
Even i din hear..Syaima was walking with me..
Cannot be smth so huge dropped on the floor..cannot see one..

Sian liao.
BF tried to be funny which pissed me off.
Sort of abit harsh and say him but explain why.
He went silence.

Company me to police station and make a police report.
He was quiet throughout.
Tried to ask him but he just shrugged and say nth.

Very bothered.
Very sianz.

Just need a few comforting words and hugs.
But instead got SILENCE.

Met Kunnie & Peisan for dinner..
Walked from restaurant to restaurant in Vivo..
Some too expensive some no seat..
So sianz..

In the end, we chose and waited a while at White Dog Cafe(#02-231).
Din regretz on our choice..
See the menu also make us drool lo...

Since Kunnie had been eating the whole day and not so hungry for dinner..
We go for 2 main courses+2 desserts and share...

Chicken Leg

Hmm...it was good. Especially the mashed potato. The chix n mashed potato go very well with the creamy mushroom sauce.

Worth trying.

Seafood Baked Rice.

Dun have the chocolate oozing out like those i had last time in another cafe..

Findings from Penang

I will get to see something interesting whenever I went back to Penang..
My trip back for my grandma's funeral is not an exceptional...

I will say more about the funeral 1st..
As compared to my maternal grandma's funeral, my paternal grandma had a much lower profile one..

It is simple and fast.
She was cremated. =(

But glad the rest of them are coping well..
However, the ambience was very solemn and quiet..
It seems like the family in my dad's side dun really talk..
All super quiet..I tried to break ice and talk but...
doesnt seem to work..

I wonder if we will keep in contact..
Hmmm..will try though..
They are my kins after all...

Well...
Hope she rest in peace..

As I said..
Alot of findings..

1. I am cleaner than my big aunt!
Wah tell u all ar..i kana like 20-odd mosquitoes bites at her plc just one night!!! Her floor was so sandy..and got lot of dark black patches on the floor..eeeeeeek yerrr...

2. Projection on the building wall?

I was having my dinner at a open spaced hawker and I saw this projection on the building wall..
I think the kopitiam boss trying to attract people to dine in with this additional entertainment....
Hmm..but i dun see how it is entertaining..there is no sound and the images were quite blurred..
Some more the wall that they projected on was not white but yellow..
Like that can watch meh?-_-"

3. My family in FOOD business & are doing great in it!

Two of my cousins from my maternal side are in koay chay and fried oyster egg business..
Before my 1st uncle retired..he was in the koay teow teng and wanton mee business..
Well..it explains clearly my passion in food and getting my butt into the foodie industry..

They selling at "Li Xing Hua Yuan Mei Li Hua Ying Shi Zhong Xin" near the bus terminal/Pesta in Penang..

His braised ducks are well-known in Penang..
Every CNY or chinese festivals..very busy one..got many many ppl order from him..

It is a thai temple which has one of the world's longest reclining Buddhas (33 meters) in it.

One of the significant temple to visit.
Oh..Penang got many many temples. Their highlight is temple.

He called and told me that my popo in critical condition..

Ah Ma Gambatte!!!!

It was double blow for my family.
Just last month, my maternal grandma passed away due to old age..

And within a month, I received a news that my paternal grandma get stroke and admitted to hospital on Monday..

She was in coma then...
And was diagnosed with a lung infection..

That period of time I was so stressed...
Kept crying..so scared to lose another grandma..
I want my grandma to live long long and see me get married..
I want to cook with my grandma..=(

Apart of that, I was worried about $$$...
I wished I could buy air tix and send my parent off right on the spot..
I very pessismistic and scolded my dad for delaying his return..
Said many harsh words..
Lucky my dad understand and tried to clarify and do alot of explanations...
But my real intention is I dun wan my dad to regret and want to fulfil my ah ma's wish to see him..

My parent went back to penang in the end..

On Wednesday...
Both my parent called me and told me the good news..
My ah ma woke up le and get out of icu le...
So happy then!!!!=)

But just now..

She is back to the ICU..
She had breathing difficulties =(
And I can hear my dad's voice shivering over the fone..

Worried again. Feel like crying. =(

What I like most about this plate of nasi lemak is the CHILLI..
Damn good!not too spicy not too sweet too..just RIGHT...
The Rice quite grainy..not greasy..
The chix wing is very crispy but compared to last time..the taste deproved..
The meat was lack of taste..like no seasoning..
The ikan billis & egg & otah not bad..
Usually..I go there for their sambal squid but it was always SOLD OUT..

After the long hectic work load with the award night..
my manager decided to give me and Syafiq a little treat..
We went to the korean style japanese restaurant, Bukang tuna which was situated right below us..

heheheheee..
Was pretty excited about it as I heard alot of good feedback about it..

1 thing interesting about this restaurant is that..
it is quite multi nationalized..
korean style jap restaurant with china women working in there..
multi nationalized mahz?

Their small complimentary drink at the end of the meal..(Dunno what issit)

Sweeet Sweeeet one..
Quite interesting...

Okay..
Bukang Tuna..as its name has explained..
are more to the FISHY type..
It is like japanese restaurant..they served raw sliced fish too..
Din try..but tried some their sets..

And before our main sets are served..
They served us delicious and appetizing side dishes...

1 side dish...

Really Delicious & soft Chawanmushi...Can melt in your mouth one lo..
ok..this is 2nd side dish...

okay..3rd..4th...5th.............9th side dishes..

Wah liew..dat's alot of side dishes..
And guess what?
All these can be refilled!!!!

There's alot of sliced tender fish in it!!!!!!!

Walking Her Last Path - a lesson learnt

6th Nov, 12.20am..
My Ah Ma whose lunar age is 91, passed away peacefully.
She was fortunate as her health was good all this while.
Just got weaker legs due to old age..

=(

There were signs that she was leaving...
She had diahorrea and refused to eat..
And her faeces were charcoal black..
According to mother's tales...black faeces signify that the body system is going haywired & need to see a doctor quick...
She waved and say "byebye" to my cousin and 1st uncle when they visited her in the evening on 5th.

Sigh.
She never say byebye to anyone of us b4..
In fact, she dont even speak english..

Sighzzzz...

I arrived with my mama on the 7th..
We were supposed to crawl in to my grandma's wake..
It was a tradition for kins that came bk from oversea to pay respect..
My mama wept and keep calling "mama" as she crawled in...
She refused to leave when I tried to pull her away from the coffin..
Sighzzz..So Xin Suanz.

It is considered a new experience to me..
This is the first time that I actually attended my own kin's funeral..

I always thought it will be a solemn one..
But to my surprise, everything was seem joyfulz..
They were saying that it is suppose to be joyous as it was a blessing to my grandma that she actually get to see through 5 generations...
Too bad she has no chance to see her great great grandchild who will be born in dec..sighz..=(
*yea..going to be a grandaunt...-_-"

Oh well..back to the traditional wake procedure..
Was stunned when my cousins shouted "GEt Ready for lesson!"..
I just followed and sat on a mat and was passed with a joss stick..
Then i know "lesson" mean "prayer's time"...-_-
Everyone was talking and giggling...

Really cultural shock lo..
Din really expect thatz..

Both of my cousins, Daniel & Andy who are 28 and 29 respectively even attempted to burn my smooth fatty thigh with joss stick ash...
So mean of them..damn painful lo!!!Even got water blisters lo..=(

79 living people in the family tree at this moment...

AS I was saying the ceremony wasnt solemn at the start..but everything changed on the last nite of prayers..
yea..my dad scolded them..and all...hmmm..went solemn that nite..with long long prayers session..
But...one of my cousin..was quite irritating..
She laughed out loud when the taoist priest chanted our names out..
Feel so much to slap her...so no respect lo...$%#@!

But I pei fu my lao er ge..
He actually kneel for the whole sessions..
Really sincere..can tell he is very upset..=(

There were buddhist chanting too..
Wah kao..damn long session lo...we chanted the whole book at turbo speed...

It was a pretty new experience to me...
We even have to cross a man-made "Na-He bridge" for 7 times & putting two 1-cent coins every cross..

Throughout the whole procedure, we kept seeing this black butterfly on the wall..
The elders were saying that black butterfly represent the dead one..
The spirit evoled itself to a butterfly to visit their kins...
That particular black butterfly muz be my ah ma...=)
She came back to see all of us..=)

After the prayers, we proceed to burning of offerings to my late grandma..

After the procedures..

We still got mood to...

hahahaaha!

BTW..all the funeral pic nt taken by me..
I thought it was not very nice to take..
But seem got so i post some to spread the culture!

Ok..shall continue..
On sat, 10th Nov..was my ah ma's chu bing day...
Almost everyone in the family were there...
There were tears, reddish eye and comfort everywhere...
Was really heartbrking..even me cant hold back those tears..
Especially when it is time to close the coffin..=(
Especially when the band played many meaningful songs..

I felt so sad when my 4th auntie wept and told me,"I wan 2 see my ma..now i cannot see her..talk to her also will not respond le..."

Sighz...

That day was so solemn that no one said a word throughout the journey to the burial area..=(
My ah Ma was to be buried next to my ah Gong..
We offered our last joss-stick and threw a handful of soil onto the coffin b4 they covered it with soil..=(

None of us turned back. Not suppose to.
It was believed this will make the spirit let go and rest in peace..if not, it will refuse to leave..=(

After that, we had congee with some side dishes and....

Shiok rite?hahahahhahaa...

As we dined, it started to pour heavily..
Suddenly everyone cheered out loud!!!!
i was like wth...raining also happy..
After explanation from my cousins, then I knew pouring after the burial is a good sign..

A blessing to the descendents and will bring prosperity to the descendents...=)

It was indeed a great learning experience....=)
Beside that, did alot of shopping too..hehehhee..=P

Got FREE Food so of coz, I will attend lahz..
And what more..can meet up with the canoiests..=)

Tight security.
The place is filled up with police officers.
Bo bian, our SM Goh will be at the dinner too.

Din really see much familar face, except Junsheng & Jiaying who were at the registration booth..

After a video presentation that covered on SDBA, a speech...

Finally the food!!!!!

The food was damn good la..
Too bad din take photo..was too paiseh to take..
But it was seriously good food lah!!!*Satisfied*=)

There was performances from artistes and even an auction session..
The Auction is mainly to raise fund for SDBA..
The item is a pair of white paddle and black paddle..
WAs fun bidding..Cher joined in the bidding too!neaarly got it but...too bad!
The paddles landed up with the VIPs..at $8888 each pair..with SM GOH signature & photo taken..

Everything was not very exciting till...

Liu Ling Ling from 881 appeared in her fairy costume!

She was damn cute lo!
She was like the highlight of the event lo...
bringing out the rowdiness of the crowd..

She even walked into the crowd and started dancing with an old man..
And she fell...poor her..
Think she kana groped by the old man..
But well..glad she is fine..=)

Well...Many of us Sing along with her..& were laughing at her jokes..
She super entertaining la!!!!

At least something beside the food made our attendance worthwhile!!!!!

We went to Villa Bali to have a drink. sucky drink.
They deproved. But the ambience still damn good. =)

As usual, I was doing my daily music therapy with YES93.3 and I heard a particular news...

10Km Great Eastern Run

Who will wake up early just to torture themselves with a 10-km run?

Not alot..
Only 8000plus of healthy living girls, ladies and women!!!
hehehehe!

Some people say I chi bao mei shi qing zhuo...-_-
(Maybe kana influenced by him ba...hehehehe)

And ya..
I am one of them..
Together with Yixin, my hao jiemei aka canoeist partner..
hehehhee..

At 730am...
The run got started..
Me n yixin were so excited lo...hahahaha!

But right from the start, I feel a slight pain at my knee..
Sian..the old injury..

Honestly, I did not train for the run at all!
Got train..also is jog 3km with James nia...hahahaha!
Damn jialat right?
At least Yixin still jog 10km last month..

Since no training...
Of coz dying for the rest of the 7km lah!
As I jog..my left leg felt the impact..especially on my ankle..n my inner thigh..
become more n more pain..-_-

So..run slowly lo..
Like a superslow moving turtle..
Yixin, being a regular jogger..jog dunno till whr le..

i super sian lo..counting down to the end of the run..
Was so delighted to see the signboard showing the no of kilometres i jog lo..
when I see 8km..i so excited lo!
I ran abit faster...n when reached the last 1km..faster abit..n 500m..

I DASHED!!!!

And actually someone was competing w me to the finishing line..

But I won!haha!

But my timing lousy la..
Thnx to my deproving stamina n old injury..
hahahaha...

After the race..
I cannot even walk straight...anytime can collaspe..
But still strong enuff for pictures!!!

Let me check if this medal is made of real gd stuff!

ECP Cycling Outing

ECP Cycling Outing (14th Oct 2007)

Heng..the sky bright bright. Not a single drop of raindrop.
If not, we the westerners will be cursing n swearing..

We were late. Thanks to Rainus. WE waited for her for an hour at Eunos Mrt lo...
Rudith & Cheryl reached there 1st. Hence, they started off their cycling 1st.
We coordinated with each other in order to cycle in the same direction; toward Bedok Jetty.

Me, Boon Kee & Rainus keep cycling and cycling..at top speed so as to catch up with Rud & Cher..
But...

They were nowhere to be seen!

We passed by many clubs. See many things though.
See kids learning roller-blading, kids soccer, old folks doing meditation, wakeboarding, tamiya car racing blah blah..

Along the way, I risked my life to cycle with Rainus.
She is bad w bike..she nearly bang into me like 2 to 3times?
And ya...she even cycled into the bush...

Just as we reached the ending point, Cher called.

Cher: Oi!where u all?

Me: At the end lo..

Cher: why never see u all? u guys went toward bedok jetty direction right?

Me: Ya..whr u

Cher: We still on our way to Bedok jetty..

Me: Huh?!?!?!?y so slow!

Cher: we got many pit stops..see ya at bedok jetty.

Wah liew..we were far from Bedok jetty lo..
We dashed back.

Finally....

Not long after we have reached, Cheryl & Rudith had to dash baCK..
One kind lo..they started off earlier than us..yet they only managed to cycle till Bedok Jetty..
Whereas for us..we finished the exact route....-_-

They got many pitstops..basically stopped to take foto on interesting stuff..
Not like us..like competing for some competition...hehehehe!
But they were naturally slow la..we cycled back together but we got there first...

After cycling...

We went to Kenny Roger's to dine...
